Be Careful With Guns

Today, something tragic happened, and my mom got really hurt! Me, mom, dad, and two guests(an aunt and an uncle), were having dinner. I suddenly remembered I had an airsoft BB bullet gun and had wanted to show the airsoft gun to my aunt. When she saw it, she suggested that we let the uncle take the whole thing apart and then let him put it back again. It was a great idea! If he fails, it would be embarrassing for him! And we went back down with the airsoft gun. Yet afterwards I was fiddling with the gun, hoping to cut in at the perfect time to offer the challenge.

Then, I saw something come off on the trigger, and putting it back would need me to push the trigger the slightest bit, which was how the accident happened, I had accidentally pressed the trigger too hard, and so the trigger activated the gun and a loud BANG sounded. Everyone jumped back in terror and but my mom didn’t! Instead she howled in pain, clutching her leg. My dad first reacted by shouting at me and then my mom showed me her wound where I thought part of the gun sprung out. “But there was no bullet!” I kept arguing, “It is the part of the gun that broke and hit her!” Then my dad started to riot up once again, telling me about if there was a bullet and it hit the eyes and all that, which made sense, but at the time I felt unnecessary(then I felt bad for feeling it was unnecessary). Anyways I went up to pack the gun away while going back downstairs later as mom said to bring the first aid kit. I cared for her wound then got back upstairs, locking the door and sobbing, guilt and sadness overwhelming me. After a few minutes my mom came up to my room and held up a broken bullet. “What is this?” she asked, and told me I shouldn’t go crying, it is not the right thing to do, I should have just said sorry. And I understood! I learned 3 things, WHEN YOU FINISH USING THE GUN TAKE OUT ALL THE BULLETS and PUT THE GUN DOWN WHEN YOU AREN’T USING IT and FACE YOUR FEARS AND SAY SORRY, BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ACTIONS.

Afterward the aunt warmed my heart by coming upstairs as my mom went downstairs and telling me my father doesn’t hate you, he loves you and that’s why he is doing all this. I know, I understand! Then she told me that she had mixed the sticky rice with normal rice together when planting them and had been hit with a big stick by her dad. She hated him at first but now he is asking her to see if she is ok! Looking out for her and going to come visit, and I was so happy she was comforting me I could have hugged her!

So I have learned from now on, with guns, you have to take out the bullets when you finish using them, and you must remember to not fiddle with it, also I should be more responsible for my actions from now on!

From now on, no useless words, no trash chapters, its time for me to grow from a kid and starting thinking about the real deal here.
